Kirill Smirnov ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our") operates the World War 2023 mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the App, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.
The App is intended for users who meet the App Store age rating in their country or region. It is not submitted as an Apple Kids Category app.
Information We Process
Depending on the features you use, the App may process:
- Account information, including your name, email address, authentication provider, and Firebase user identifier.
- Profile content, including the commander name you choose and an optional avatar image selected from your photo library.
- Gameplay data, including faction selection, squad, progression, experience, credits, talents, mission progress, matchmaking entries, online battle state, and generated battle maps.
- Subscription entitlement/status and StoreKit transaction information needed to unlock Premium Command features. Apple processes payment details; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Technical and diagnostic information processed by Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Cloud Functions, Google Sign-In, and related service components. Depending on the provider and configuration, this may include device or app identifiers, IP-derived coarse location, usage events, and diagnostic data.
- If Firebase Crashlytics is enabled in a release build, crash reports and related diagnostic data may be processed to identify and fix app stability issues.
- Local preferences stored on your device, including audio, graphics, gameplay, notification, and daily online-battle settings.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and authenticate your account.
- Save and synchronize your profile and gameplay progress.
- Provide matchmaking, online battles, cloud functions, avatar storage, and account deletion.
- Verify subscription entitlements and provide purchased features.
- Send service messages related to your account, purchases, security, support, and app functionality.
- Use your email address to send World War 2023 news, promotional offers, and information about other game projects or apps created by the Developer. You may opt out of promotional emails by contacting us or by using an unsubscribe option when one is provided.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve app functionality.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not sell personal information.
Service Providers
We use service providers that process data on our behalf or provide platform functionality:
- Google Firebase, including Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions.
- Firebase Crashlytics, if enabled in the release build, for crash and stability diagnostics.
- Google Sign-In, when you choose Google as your authentication provider.
- Sign in with Apple, when you choose Apple as your authentication provider.
- Apple StoreKit and App Store services for subscriptions, purchase restoration, and subscription management.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Google services may process data in countries other than your country of residence.
Photo Library and Notifications
Photo-library access is requested only after you choose to select a profile avatar. The selected image is uploaded to Firebase Storage for use with your account.
Notification permission is optional and requested only when you enable the daily reminder in the App's settings. Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device. You can disable them in the App or in iOS Settings.
Data Retention and Account Deletion
Account and gameplay data is retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the App. You can initiate account deletion in the App from the player profile screen. The deletion flow removes the Firebase account, player profile, avatar, matchmaking records, and linked online battle/map records controlled by us.
Deleting your World War 2023 account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in the App Store subscription settings before or after deleting the account.
Service-provider backups and security logs may persist for a limited period according to the provider's retention practices and applicable law.
Security
We use platform security controls and Firebase security rules intended to restrict account data to authorized users and server functions. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of your personal information. You may also withdraw optional permissions through iOS Settings. Contact us to exercise applicable rights.
Changes
We may update, replace, or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without asking for individual user approval. Changes are effective when posted on this page. Where applicable law or App Store rules require additional notice or consent, we will follow those requirements.
